Wearing my Captain Marvel #9 shirt at a cookout.
Guy: “Is that Ms. Marvel?”
Me, without thinking: “Captain, actually.”
This is my tumblr. I repost things I find interesting.
Gonna quickly throw in an epic quote I found on this article.
KJKJ: Gene Roddenberry, with balls of brass, got up on national tv and said, “hey people, if a geneticist took all the best DNA from planet Earth and put it together to make the best human the world has ever seen - he wouldn’t be a white guy.”
This is why I find the casting of a white actor in this role to be so repugnant. They are not whitewashing an Asian role, they are saying that the best genetic material that the entirety of this world and it’s diversity has to offer….still comes from a white guy.Reblogging again for that
Omg yes
Basically.

So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists about being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.
What.
The.
Fuck.
She had something like an 80% chance of getting breast cancer, and she didn’t want to die young and leave her kids without a mom (they already lost their grandmother to it before some of them were even born). But no, let’s complain about how awful it is that she “lost her boobs.” Which she didn’t! She got reconstruction! But yes, clearly, her boobs being perfect are worth more than her life.
monica rambeau, everybody
And that’s why NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E. is one of the best series of all time.

Just wondering what goes into your decision to purchase a comic at a comics store? For this question, I am only talking about buying a comic off the rack at the comics shop, please.
How important is:
The cover?
The artwork?
The writer’s name?
The publisher?
The genre?
The lead character (s)?
Whether or not the story is an ‘event’ comic?
For me, it’s mostly the cover when I’m grabbing something new at the store. For things I’m at least a little familiar with, the art and to a lesser extent the writer are the biggest influences. If I’m just picking up something that looks neat, though, it’s almost always going to be on the strength of the cover. That’s how I ended up finally grabbing the Unwritten trades, and that’s pretty quickly become my favorite comic. (Also, pretty impossible to beat covers. They’re so beautiful.)

Emma Rios. Damn.
Emma Rios is a life ruiner. She ruins lives.
This page is why I started reading Captain Marvel. Emma Rios is also the reason I bought Doctor Strange: Season One (which was a great decision). Emma Rios is honestly the deciding factor in why I’m going to be grabbing Pretty Deadly (sorry, Kelly Sue. Love your writing, but the art is what tends to sell me on comics).
Describe Dragon Age 2 in one sentence.
Pretty much, now that I think about it
